Hello folks – it’s launch day! Welcome to my new website and my first ever blog! I never thought I’d say that! For starters, I never thought of myself as a writer, so this is a completely new challenge that I am undertaking. But I hope I can create some interesting and fun reads. It won’t all be about work, Bee and I also plan to tell you about life as a gundog, life in the country and life as a mum - watch this space!!

Getting a new business off the ground is hard! There is so much to think about and do and it doesn’t happen overnight.

When I decided to become a full-time professional portrait artist, I knew that starting out was going to be hard and that I had to come out of my comfort zone in order to get myself noticed. Luckily I’ve had a bit of help along the way from a couple of fabulous creatives. The first being Annalisa, who is a fantastic film-maker, photographer and website builder! Creating a video, portraying who I am and exactly what I do was one of the first steps to give people an insight as to what I actually create. I’m not keen on having professional photographs done or talking to a camera but Annalisa made the whole process very easy and relaxed.

I also needed a whole new brand designed and knew the exact person for the job, my wonderful friend Emma. Her style of design was just what I wanted and I love what she has created for me.

Finally putting the content of the website altogether. Again, I’m not a whizz at such things so Annalisa built it all and I could then fine tune it.

A huge thank you to both Annalisa and Emma for helping me get this show on the road!

But this is just the start! Bee and I have exciting times ahead and I hope you can join us on our journey.
